I just recently bought an Avatar 410 Neo with line-x coating for $300 used. I just got it wired up for 2 ohms so I can put 700 watts into it from my Peavey Max 700. This thing kills! Never in my quest for gear have I been more satisfied with my rig. Look at my profile. I've owned a lot of gear for being a 17 year old and only playing for 4 years. Not all of it cheap either.
Now, I posted this because I just wanted to announce that I'm a firm believer in budget gear. Along with the Avatar cab and the Peavey head, I also have an SX bass that I put an Audere JZ3 preamp into it. I'm a real life example that you can get great tone and a lot of power to amplify that tone for not that much doe. Life is great!
