In ear monitors, cable inside shirt, down back, strap pulls

I've recently started using a pair of IEMs, which are working great, tho I have one problem...

When I run the wires from the monitors down my back inside my shirt, the strap of my bass pretty much secures it in place, which then means some head movements start tugging on it.

Rather than constantly have to yank up some loose wire, what do other people do?

I've got a clip I stole from a pair of sport headphones that has a hook for the wire and clip. I clip it to the rim of my shirt with just enough slack. In the past I've used Bobby pins to clip to my shirt.

I've managed to find a tiny clip, but may just try yanking enough slack for now.

I was thinking about going on the outside, but then when you put your bass down I imagine you'd be messing around with the IEM cable inside/outside your strap.

I'm not gonna be putting my bass down every 5 minutes to put out a fire, but still...
