In ear signal only in one ear

Hey guys, our drummer recently purchased a 6 channel wireless in ear monitor system. I have not been at our space to check it our or mess with it, but he said that he only gets signal from one of the ears. What could be causing this? The only thing I could think of would being using a mono cable instead of TRS or vice versa, but I really don't know that much. Help please

Does the mixer require a stereo or mono INPUT?

If it requires a stereo in--- to get a stereo out, be sure the channels are not panned to one side. (And use a stereo cord between the units as you mentioned).
