In Ears?

Hey guys, looking for some advice on some in ear monitors. The rest of my band uses them, but I'm just getting around to getting some now. What brand would you recommend, and what type of headphones to get really good low's in?

Any advice would be appreciated. I know they aren't cheap, but I need something of good quality. Will help out for our large venues/festivals.

Thanks in advance.

JHAudio Invalid Link Removed Hands down the best Custom IEM's for the price and quality if your looking for your first pair. Jerry Harvey toured with Van Halen as a monitor engineer and pretty much created the first custom IEM's on the road with a major touring act.

I did a lot of research on every company before purchasing and this was the best bang for the buck. I picked up the JH5 Pro's custom IEM's for $399 They are duel drivers (high and low in each ear) and sound amazing. To answer the question, yes I hear the low frequencies just fine even down to the low B as well as the low end in the loops we run etc... If you want to go the next step up it will cost you $699 for single high and duel lows. The artist I play for and our guitarist use custom Westone duel drivers and they like them but also paid $650 for the ES2 duel drivers before Westone introduced the AC Series which are basic and only come in clear transparent for $399. I would rather save $150 JH5's vs. the ES2 and still have the choice of color etc... You can even add your own custom art for $50. Westone offers a 1 year warranty and JHAudio offers a 2 year. I will say this, both companies make an excellent entry level IEM and so does Ultimate Ears, but JHAudio hands down has the best deal and great customer service etc...

The other part to mention is getting your custom molds made. #1 important thing... find an audiologist who knows what the heck they're doing. If they don't really comprehend this: Invalid Link Removed walk away. I had to call a few places before I found the right person. The guy I play for had 4 impressions made and sent off to Westone because they where poorly made. Molds will cost anywhere from $50 to $150ish depending where you go. Again... call around. I hope this helps.

Now if your looking for universal fit then I just wasted about two/three minutes of your life... and well... sorry.

Then there ya go ;) I did the leg work for ya. Here is a not so great picture of mine. The case is nowhere near as full of stuff as the Westone's,it does have a "jewelry bag" for the ears that is not pictured and you can order a fancier case, but I can't complain when you look at the cost. I did not have to pay for the art on these, I could have left them blank, but I really liked their flying lady/retro hood ornament logo and the JH Audio looked cool too so i put it on there... in Florida Gator's blue and orange... which makes it even better.

I went with the JH5 pros. I absolutely love them. FAR better than I had expected. I bought the Shure PSM 200's, ( I wanted the 900's but couldn't afford them) And the JH5's are unbelievably better than what came with the shure's.
Thanks again for the advice.

Just a quick shout out to Westone. I use UM2 with their soft black tips with Senn G3 system. In fact the whole bands does. I found them getting a kittle flimlsy so I went to the Westone site to ordeer up new ones. Well these tips are only available in their $25 travel kit. I wrote to them and they said they don't sell them as single sets but as a courtesy they sent me 6 pairs at no charge.
