It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my Dad (username: XavierG) on October 4, 2018. He spent many years on this forum discussing one of his greatest passions and thoroughly enjoyed the sense of community he found here.
I'm sorry to hear of your dad's passing. I hope that time is allowing you and your family to heal from the grief, and that his memory is with you in joy.
Your father was very kind to me back in the days when I first joined almost 19 years ago, and generously helped me with technological issues a number of times. I will remember him well. RIP Xavier.
Thank you for you contribution to this community sir. Fly on in peace. And thank you for letting us know, Katie. Prayers out to your family.
Oh no. I'm sorry to hear Katie. I remember him being a co-moderator with me in the early days of the forum. He was always a great guy when I talked to him.
Oh, man, what terrible news! I was quite friendly with your father, Katie. He was one of the first members here who actually encouraged my corny joke telling. And when he told me he was involved with helping a school in your area with musical instruments, I sent him a few. We were supposed to meet here in New York about 15 years ago, but I forget what happened; whether our schedules conflicted or the trip was cancelled. Either way, we never met in person, and I regret this. And he talked about how much he loved his family often. I am going to miss your father, Katie, he was a good man. The world is a poorer place for him not being here. I hope you and your family have found peace with his passing. Rest in Peace, Xavier, my friend. Michael Jewels
I'm so sorry to hear this! XavierG was such a great presence in the forums, and was very kind to me personally in the early days of the forum. We chatted a bit offline too. Xavier was such a genuine and kind person. Thinking of you and your family at this time KatieG.
So sorry to hear this. XG was a great guy and someone I fondly remember speaking with him "back in the day" here on TB. My condolences.
Always helpful and friendly. That's how I'll remember Xavier. Your father was a good man Katie. -Mike
Thank you to everyone for your kind words. I am glad to know that he had so many friends both online and offline who enjoyed having him around. He will be missed dearly.
