Agreed. Running 700w RMS into my 810E was more than I've ever needed. My SVT-II was still hanging in there through that hour but it was at it's absolute useful volume limit. Anything farther was useless but cool sounding deep overdrive.

If it's for ego, fun, and tone, get the SVT-CL. Trust me. I picked up another ~300w tube amp today after having sold two SVT's already. Guess I can't go without them!

Okey then. since im in no need of the EQ, The bi-amp ultility and get wierd when i have to many knobs to twist on. I should go with the 7 pro or the CL? Then again, from what i've heard i only like the sound from the 4 pro (vs 7 pro), but alot of you ppl say they sound the same, so the Youtube videos might just have some wierd config.

The Cl on the other hand sounds like a good idea, but okey, heres a few questions ending a lot of debates in my head.

Is the 7 pro as loud as the 4 pro in my 810e?
If so, is the 7 louder then a Classic 300w?

And seriously, the ampeg svt 4 pro is way more expensive then the 7 pro. Is that only becouse of the extra featurures or is the amp just better? Money ins't an issue but i think i'll pass on the CL.

The CL is damn loud. Either way you're gonna burst some eardrums with either one of the three thru an 810.

The 4-pro has more features and a different tube front compared to the 7-pro.

Get the CL. You won't regret it!

I don't want to confuse things but if you found a used SVT 6 Pro out there it is what I have and it is stupid loud and has more than enough power to drive that big 810 cab. Might be a consideration with price if you find one used. Full tube preamp section feeding MOSFET power section. 1100w at 4 ohms.

The Ampeg 810e will only get "so loud". The SVT CL might sound louder because of the overdrive in the midrange frequencies at higher volumes. The 7 PRO and the 4 PRO are going to push the 810e to hell and back. The 4 PRO allows you to Bi-amp, split the signal outputs for more elaborate setups, and has an EQ.

The 7 PRO is much more of a "plug n' play" setup.
