Inbox and Alerts icons disappearing from menu bar

The inbox and alerts icons are disappearing from the menu bar, then reappearing momentarily and then disappearing with notifications hiding under my account settings.

I am using Safari for IOS.

...and I just tried Safari on a laptop and it's fine.

... restarted iPad and cleared browser cache, the problem persists. Even more weirdly, it seems fine on my iphone.

More information, it happens in Safari and Chrome ... but only in landscape mode. Portrait is fine.

I'm having the same problem. It's okay when I change the display format to retro, but social or default doesn't work.

BTW, I'm using Chrome. I haven't tried Safari, but I don't suppose it's any better.

No. It works in portrait but not landscape. It works fine on my iPhone. My symptoms are the same as @kat888's.

Any word yet on a solution? I keep restarting Chrome and my iPad to see if anything changes. I've been able to work around it by going to my profile page and selecting alerts there, but it's still an extra step and a bit of a pain.

I haven't been able to replicate this issue so it's tough finding a solution. What size ipad are you all using?

• Capacity: 16, 32, 64, 128 GB
• Model number (on the back cover):
  A1566 on the iPad Air 2

Has there been a change made to the software in the last week? I don't believe there was an update in the iOS during that period.

The issue has been fixed now. Whatever was changed = cool.
