Independence Day.. Isn't now. ( Rant?)

It's 10:25pm here and for the past 2 hours it sounds like a battle field outside. It's my kid's bedtime. Yes, it did only get dark.. but this is ridiculous. Can't people wait until tomorrow? It's not so far away. Lol.
Okay, I'm done with my rant. Just had to say that it's pretty crazy.

Pssh are you kidding me? People are gonna be drinking and blowing **** up all weekend. I am proud to live in a country where I can drink and blow **** up. Happy Independence Day to you too.

Lol. Well, I hafta be responsible tonight. Tomorrow I can party. :P For tonight I'll bitch and whine about it. Tomorrow,.. Well.. I'll keep everyone else up with my fireworks. Bwahaha.

Edit: I guess more or less, I wasn't expecting it around here. Up until today no one has really lit off any fireworks and there's mostly old people around here so I didn't think it'd be too crazy.. but there has been pretty much nonstop noise going on outside for some time now.

Hey I understand what its about but don't get me wrong but I also love blowing **** up.

Actually, I find it very fitting...after all, we did kinda "blow up" the established order when we gave england the finger.

If that was the case, it would happen only on the fourth. I absolutely hate hearing them go off for two weeks, the fourth is fine, but when you have to do it night after night is when it gets ridiculous.

I'm all for a beer and blowing stuff up, hell that's probably going to be happening in 20 hours or so, but thats it. Just one night.

And you two may be the exception to the rule, I don't mean this as a personal attack, but it just seems like people want to blow stuff up, and the holiday becomes an excuse instead of a day of remembrance.

People have been blowing things up for hundreds of years to celebrate. Americans are not the first.

I meant mine IMHO, of course. Fireworks are cool, but there is something to be said for time and place as well as setting. This is why I'm not surprised when fireworks go off the day before the day before the 4th of july, but am when someone send up a series of mortars for some random reason at 2 am.

i am all for freedom of expression, but i have to be careful around this time of year, because my dog gets crazy scared when fireworks go off and tries to run away, so launching fireworks every single day since the lakers won the finals until now is a little excessive imo, happy 4th if you see a trembling little brown and white pit grab her for me
