So you guys are probably wondering, "who is that fatty down there with the glitter blue bass dressed up like a Dragon Ball Z reject?"

Fellow bassists, that would be me. :hiding:

This was three months ago in April for the Gulfcoast Color Guard and Percussion Circuit Championships. The team for my high school chose to make the show for this year warrior-themed. Our percussion director came up with the ideas for our costumes. I'd say they came out pretty gnarly. They also included facepaint and a bandanna. The results of the show altogether scored us three first place trophies throughout our entire tour.

Some background. For one, I would normally be a lot more active for this show. However, this was severely cut down by the fact that I had pretty much broken my back due to my stage show combined with scoliosis. I was out and bedridden for a good month and a half, so they cut down how much I could do, and I gained like 20 pounds in that amount of time because, hey, I couldn't walk anymore. At least until therapy started working with my chiropractor. I was back, but I was chubby and clumsy because had to re-learn how to walk. I remember sometimes my legs going numb and paralyzing on me, and I would just fall straight to the ground.

Yeah, my lower back was screwed to high-hell.

Anyway, now onto the video itself. The bass quality was shot to hell because a certain douche on my team decided to come and mess with my bass settings prior to the setup. He argued that "I only play for half of the show anyway." As you can clearly see in the video, he was wrong. That kid was such a PINTA that I once exploded into a raging firestorm of cursing and swearing when he tried telling me that I was a useless member, that I was lazy, bass is a useless instrument, and that my scoliosis was a lie. Soon after the show in the above video, he quit. His quitting was undoubtedly the greatest thing that ever happened to the group. And if you could ask the group, they would agree. I came close several times to knocking him out, and I'm glad I didn't snap.

All in all, it was a good season, aside from that jerkwad I had to deal with. I can't wait for next year, though.
