Hi,

I've decided to open this up to trade offers :

I'm ideally looking for (5) string basses, 34" length, preferably 17.5 to 18.0 width at bridge, P/J or soap are pickups. Unfinished neck - basically something that feels & plays like my classic Stingray 5, but offers more tonal variety.

I'm also looking for another cab to compliment my Bergantino AE212 - but I'm not sure what the best option is there yet. Maybe a combo package here ? Anyway - I'm listening to offers, and if you live in the Bay Area, I can set up a demo for you in person to test it out. Its amazing - but I don't need to have the synths as part of my rig anymore. Sticking to bass guitar ..

If interested - please PM me.

Details :

This Industrial Radio MIDI jazz bass guitar custom made for me, in 2013. This is not the latest shipping Pro-4 - but the 'Standard' MIDI bass, with matte black finish and matching headstock. It tracks perfectly well with outboard synths - and sounds amazing as a bass on it's own w/ Nordstrand jazz p/up's.See YouTube for results. You can blend your bass signal with a synth or just play the bass by itself.

Steve Chick the founder of the MIDI bass, estimates as long as a year of wait time to receive. The condition on this instrument is good - but does have a some check marks on the bottom edge - and 2 small scuffs by the instrument jack as per pics. Functions perfectly, but there are a few blemishes in the paint.

No - it has a proprietary cable and PIN system, that is not compatible with the Roland GR-20 13 PIN Cable. The IR PIN cable goes to the bass on one end, and the other, to the audio/midi converter box.

Price lowered - bump - along with a short video to demonstrate this bass in action. Pardon the d/l times from Dropbox in advance - about a minute here.

Dropbox - BDMV.mov

Cheers,

Chris

I wrote Steve Chick about this - and the new Pro 4 uses a newer Fret sensing technology. That being said - this one tracks quite nicely as it stands, at least for my needs which were to double the bass sound with a mono synth (typically in legato mode) for some epic deep synth bass. in a live setting specifically. It tracks even better on soft synths, but I've had success with Moog and Oberheim vintage synths. As long as the bass line isn't overly busy - it will hold and track. In Poly mode you can play chords on strings in an intro - then blend in the bass. Or trigger samples from Ableton etc .. lots of possibilities.

Hmm. I'm not in a band so this sounds like a really way for me to play with myself (har har har). To sell my bass (that I really like) or not...

If you are in a 3 piece band like me - you definitely fill the entire sound spectrum easily with the IR MIDI bass in tow.
