I've played rounds my entire career as a bassist, and I'm sot really happy with the way I set in the mix. I have to crank up because my instruments sound gets lost, and my amp is like 20 years old, so id like to avoid this. So two questions, A)what are decent, inexpensive flats to try, and B) will they solve my problem?

P.s.) I play with fingers and try to get rid of as much brightness as I can
