Information about vintage Celestion speaker

Hello!

Having recently acquired an old cab from the 70s and at a dead end with the research, I opened the cab up and found a Celestion speaker inside. The label was as follows:
-Celestion
-Model Number: G 18 C
- Power capacity: 100watts
-impedance: 4 ohms
-Bass resonance- 35 c/s
-ROLA CELESTION LTD

Has any one got any information on this speaker? Quality, date of manufacture etc. A quick google showed that Celestion was a company with a solid history and some standout models, but any information would be much appreciated!

Thanks for replying! Is there any way to find out if the speaker I have was used in any old marshal amps?

Not unless there are identifying marks tying it to Marshall. You can research the production years of the Marshall 118 cabinet. The speaker frame should have a date code. You could tie it to the same era.

This probably will not apply to your speaker but try.
