Okay so my band and I play hardcore...with this style comes some major energy requirements so we usually end up hurting ourselfs.

So far our list includes:

Concussion x1 (singer)
Cuts and Bruises x:confused: (way to many to count)
Sprained wrist/thumb (Me)
Broken Metacarpal (guitarist)
Broken Metatarsal (other guitarist)

------------------------------------------------------
So I was just wondering, anybody else do this or are we just insane?

Not a band related injury, but I had a gig set for the two bands I was in, one of which it was actually my first show with.
Earlier in that week I dislocated my left index finger (fretting hand) playing dodgeball and popped it back into place myself.
That was a year and a half ago, and that fingers full dexterity never returned. At least it hasnt beeen a hindrance, though, just requires a bit extra warming up.

You and your bandmates may want to tone down the physical antics because the next injury may be career ending or worse.

I think not being able to play music would hurt more than the injury.

Either that or take some stunt training and learn to choreograph your show so people don,t get hurt. At least where some better shoes to reduce foot injuries and learn to keep your hands from from doing anything too wild.

During a slightly inebriated set, i got a bit overexcited while playing the Fall of Troy and headbanged into my own headstock. Managed to split my left eyebrow.

No real harm done, but i was so into it i didn't notice, just like i didn't notice the blood blister on my right forefinger. By the time we finished, i was getting a lot of strange looks as the front of my bass and the side of my face were covered in blood.
