Hi there.
Has anybody had to fix the error :
input device error undefined external error windows 10 cool edit pro
My Behringer audio interface broke the other day and since then Im getting this message when I try to record in Cool Edit Pro.

I have run a compatability test in Windows but that hasn't fixed the problem

This is (most likely) a problem resulting from Windows Update.

When you say your Behringer "broke", it sounds like you had to get another interface? More info will be needed to identify a solution....

Thanks for the reply. I think from ivr read in the article you posted that changing the microphone settings is going to help.

When the behringer device stopped working it seemed to affect the microphone so I disabled its access.

The behringer is outside of warranty unfortunately so I think I'm going to buy a new one. Luckily they're relatively cheap.

Yep enabling microphone access worked. Cool Edit is now recording again.,
