Inspirational Phrases.

I love the Despair.com site, you can't go wrong there. One of my favorites, though, is from Robert Anton Wilson (or at least his website) and is aimed at those of us who may be frustrated in our relationships from time to time and toying with the idea of making a change:

"Remember, no matter how good she looks, somebody somewhere is tired of her ****."

not exactly motivational, but great for a laugh

"defeat - For every winner, there are dozens of losers. Odds are you're one of them.
bitterness - Never be afraid to share your dreams with the world, because there's nothing the world loves more than the taste of really sweet dreams.
adversity - That which does not kill me postpones the inevitable."

tell them all to suck it... ok just kidding...

I get told I have too many pedals... then I use them, and suddenly no one seems to mind...
lol
i don't worry about what everyone tells me, because i know that the avant garde and experimental music isn't always (or seemingly ever) what people want to hear...i just care that i get to play it, and i have even had the fortune of finding a few others interested in that kind of music :)

and it doesn't even sound like lynrd skynrd ;)

'Rain, rain, go away,
Come again some other day,
Cause I got all this S#!^ to say,
But I've gone back to find my way'-

Adam Duritz, Counting Crows, 'I'm Not Sleeping'

'Friendship is unnecessary, like philosophy, like art...It has no survival value; rather it is one of those things that give value to survival'-

I can't remember

'If I'm free, its because I'm always running'-

Hendrix

'Sometimes, I wonder if the Hokey Pokey really is what its all about'-

Our very own, beloved, Munji....:D

'I know you hear me, but are you listening!?'-

My bass teacher, Doug Littlejohn

Then these are a few of mine that I somehow came up with. Some probably borrow from others that I had seen, but I honestly don't remember:

'If you play music, ALWAYS try to get your music out there. Because in the twisted world, someone out there is going through the same s#!^ as you, and they need yo hear your perspective on it to survive.'

'Common sense is censorship, MUSIC IS FREEDOM!!!'

(This was augmented from a James Taylor quote)'Keep your head and ego small, avoid a major drug habit, keep your eyes and ears open, and always keep someone and something around to love. Follow that advice, and you'll live long enough to see what you need to see.'
