Installing flatwould Infelds anything special I should do or same as just installing roundwounds?

Probably a stupid question but the string were rather expensive so just want to make sure I do it right before installing them. Got 35 Longscale JF345. The Bass is Schecter Model T Session 5 string. The red thread cover part of the strings starts at the nut then it tapers off into a thinner wire. I am guessing I clip the wire, a few inches past the tuner?

Ok 35 inch, longscale is 34 inch. Messed up

Guess put them on jpj instead

No different than other strings. I always crimp first and then snip ALL my new strings. So, that is about it. Just make sure not to twist them.

^This^ pretty much. I put a crimp/bend in all new bass strings, ever since I had a string in a new set of flats unravel - because I didn't bend it first. A rather... unnerving... sight it was, too. Since then, it's become a knee-jerk habit to bend them before I cut them...
