installing piezo pickups

i own a warwick corvette standard 4 string with passive pickups...i was going to get the active one but i thought passive sounded just as good.

my main question is how would i go about getting some piezo pickups installed on the bridge and how much would it cost?

I expect you would have to replace the bridge.....
All the piezo systems I've seen are made to fit ABM, Hipshot or Wilkinson bridges (or the old Fender style).
But I don't know much about it... I'm still waiting for the piezo bridge for my 6-string. (Hipshot btw.)

With the proper application of copius amounts of cash, RMC Pickups will put a piezo system in just about anything. Graph-tec may also make a retro-fit kit for your bridge, check with them as well.

Sorry for being a little off topic here but how does the corvette sound? And is it really that heavy?

thanks for the posts, i'll check those companies out.
and the corvette sounds really good because of its:
a)low end growl
b)amazing slap tone
c)its ability to cut through a mix like a hot knife through butter!
it is pretty damn heavy due to the bubinga but you get used to it.

Warwick has a piezo option on their basses now. You could contact DanaBGoods to get a replacement warwick bridge w/ the piezos.
