Instrumental Covers Band

I think it's an awesome idea. Great party music, imo. The last battle of the bands that I played had this group called the Gillbillies. They looked like a mountain version of ZZ Top. They played Dick Dale, The William Tell Overture, stuff like that. Loved it. I thought they were going to win, for sure.

Depends on what you're after. My main band is an instrumental, all originals, we keep them concise and try to steer away from jammy. Its a lot of fun but we play mostly to rooms of other local musicians. I think its easier to hold the average listener's attention with vocals, but the 4 of us understand that we're not trying to be a touring, growing project. This is a creative outlet, nothing more.
