Interesting Bass Mod on Reverb...

I came across this ad on Reverb listed as "Very Good"...

This is definitely an interesting piece. I can understand the tuner swap, but the string-thru body routs that go all the way through the bass without being operational confuse me. As well as the price tag. Probably plays and sounds great, but good gracious, what were they smoking?

Ventilation holes.

Even if there was an appropriate bridge, in the correct position to utilize a thru body setup with those holes.. would they stop the ball end from sliding all the way through? Things look huge.

*Edit what I meant to say, was that the owner of this bass used it to block my lethal straight fingered throat punch.

Looks like they put the ferrules in the top of the body.

On this mod I thought these top ones were just for show. Suprised the tension hasn't pulled them out.
