Interesting pit.

I've never understood moshing. I've seen moshing at Tool and 311 concerts. Hell at the last 311 concert I was at people were moshing to the music being played over the PA before they even came out to play. Tool and 311 don't really seem like the kind of music you would want to mosh to.

That's the idea of going into them, could serve as great anger relief come to think of it...

Should be 154.98cm, If you're on metric. (1 foot = 30cm, 1 inch = 2.49cm)
Bloomin' eck

How do you not get mauled at these things ?

The best wall of death ever is at the SOIA gigs (hell, they've been doing that wall of death schinanagins for well over 10 years!), but im 6"4 (194cm IIRC?), and most of the other folk involved is usually about the same size :p

we were wearing tight pants so, I think that did the trick.

You have great beer tho! (y)

and omg I forgot how you called ham! and tosti's!
you had some weird name for it! tell me! :o

Well, compared to Heineken...:D

Heps! And I had to google tosti to see that it's actually called a croque monsieur :p

You were shopping on the Meir and in the Schuttershofstraat, Leopoldstraat I suppose ? :)

Heineken (n)
we have better beers, Hertog Jan

Heps! That's it!
But for tosti there was another word..

No, we were there with school and had to visit the fashion and diamond museum :o
Then we went 'terasjes pikken' :o

moshing is cool when it's just pushing some people around without the intent of hurting them. Hardcore dancing and walls of death are just stupid. I don't understand the mentality of wanting to injure fellow concert gowers.

"hey I like (insert band name here)!"

"no way so do I! Let's punch each other in the face!"

awesome :rollno:

What I love about circle pits is that for the most part, they're friendly. ie, "Hey, let's all run in a circle together" vs. "Hey, let's push each other around" or "I'm gonna flail my limbs in some sort of synchronized fashion. Sorry if I hit you, dude."

Yeah, when I was at a Tool concert, people were moshing. Although I didn't understand why they wanted to mosh, they were actually pretty cool about it. I was at the edge of the circle, so I expected to at least accidently get pushed or hit, but they were actually pretty cool about not bringing in people who didn't want to participate. I just stood at the edge to get a better view of the band (as opposed to the back of someone's head).

oooh, interesting :D

There's lotsa cool places to see, lots of record shops, cool neighbourhoods, the Scheldekaaien, where Antwerp is still Antwerp you know, and not flooded by tourists ( ;) ), but you don't get to see those on a guided tour.

Well, we got to see some fun stuff, since me and my people have a thing for getting lost :smug:

Didn't quite get to see a lot of shops, but I did notice your McDonalds is way better then ours!

Good to hear.

However, I should clarify that by circle pits I mean people running in a circle- theres no pushing involved.
