I hope this is the right forum as I think I've narrowed down my problem to my bass' electronics.
For the first time today, my bass has starting putting out a very noticable hiss. The hiss occurs intermittently, though not depending on the position of the bass or anytting, but on an almost perfectly regular 15 seconds of hiss, 15 seconds of clear sound, rotation.
I've tried listening through multiple pairs of headphones, with multiple jack leads and through multiple amplifiers, which leads me to the conclusion that it's the bass itself.
I've opened her up and had a quick poke at each of the connections to see if it was a loose wire that was causing the issue, but with no success.
Does anyone have any experience with this or any ideas for a solution? I would just take it to a shop but I don't currently have a car and it's quite a walk away!
