Let's bring more peace into this world! If only we had a little of the 60's spirit in everyone :hmm: seems like today it's about getting as much money and sex as you can and not caring about another individual being well on the way.

I wasn't alive, but....

What about the bad things of the 60's? Do we really want all that back?

Communal toothbrushes, the draft, Blue Cheer, pubic lice, vw buses, poorly produced lsd (now with methamphetamine!), prostate cancer as terminal illness, greater economic and civil inequities....

I think our nostalgia is often inaccurate.

I don't consider Jessica Simpson a contribution to mankind

That my friend is because you are not American! She is are white trash queen and we must worship her! LOL just kidding.

And why is today better than the 60s? Kind of hard to get into this without getting into politics and I have already gotten into trouble in this area for that! :D

We can kind of dodge the politics, and say that health care is vastly improved, care for our elderly and disabled is of much higher quality, schools and universities are desegregated, most homes have air conditioning/heat, infant mortality is lower, people are more accepting of difference, there are more women and minorities in leadership positions, home ownership amongst minorities is much higher, environmental and safety standards are vastly improved, the internet (and therefore information) is accessible to just about everyone....

Lots of things are better now.

What was better then, besides pop music? I think i'd say people were more community-oriented, but again, i wasn't alive way back when.
