I have an Android Samsung A54.
It has no headphone/mic jack.
I want a "low cost" solution. I will consider variable $ but, if its getting close to a used MacBook, we'll thats my longterm anyway.
Problem: atm if I want to record myself, I am just using my phone as a crappy mic. I mostly just need a recording, I would use phone to trim and edit, and possibly experiment with mixing, on my phone. I want to get from my amps and pedals "into" my phone.
This is strictly amateur hobby stuff, so for instance latency is not an issue because I am not listening to the phone as I play, I am not using it as FX/eq etc.
I want: a way to use my phone to record without playing out loud. I want the sound from my amp, post eq etc.
I have: amps with DI output (including post eq speaker sim) and atm I run this into a "headphone" amp (no Bluetooth, 3.5 out, 1/4" possible).
Thoughts so far: (remember, cheap, android, no jack on phone)
Please don't JUST say "Google " I have, it only wants to sell me wrong stuff, that's kinda how the net is now, sadly. Specific products and technical terms may help, so "Google class Jango dongle Zs with alpha beta 3+" is ok.
A Bluetooth transmitter with a 3.5mm input or (better) DI input would seem to be a solution but: all the DI stuff seems to be a receiver not a transmitter. The 3.5 input Bluetooth transmitter I tried wouldn't talk to my phone, I presume many only recognize Earbuds.
I feel like a Bluetooth MIC transmitter, without the mic! and with 3.5/1/4"/DI input should be a thing, but I can't Google those, so specifics?
It need not be Bluetooth, I would love to go into the phones USB C. Remember it's Android, there are "issues" here, I would welcome discussion around them, but my poor understanding is that Iphones will handle this easily, but my Android needs a workaround. Would love a device that does this, it's fine if my phone is plugged in while recording.
I know people will say iRig BUT: I don't have a headphone jack, it's an Android, remember cheap so I don't want to buy 3rd party software (yet). And what iRig offer, it's what I dont need: I am wanting my amp and pedals to be eq and fx, I just want that signal recorded.
