Intonation adjustment

I have a Peavey Millennium 5 AC BXP that the intonation on the B and E string is off. It is noticeable from the 6th fret on and very noticeable on the 12th fret. I can not see how to make the adjustment on the bridge. Can someone help me?

If it's like most standard bass bridges it'll have screws in the back of the bridge that will move the saddles forward or backward.

If Peavey uses the bridge style I'm thinking of, you have to move them by hand. Take the string off and look at the saddle piece. There should be a small angled #4-40 hex screw. Loosen that up and you should be able to slide the whole saddle. After adjusting the intonation, tighten it back up and voi-la!

Are the strings new? If so, press them down firmly over the nut and the saddles. The thicker strings don't follow the bends of the saddles and nut, so you've got to help them a little. This cures most of the intonation problems with the lower (fatter) strings.

Intonation is pretty easy to do. Using a tuner - match the 12th fret note with the 12th fret harmonic using the bridge screws.
If it's sharp - move it back until correct, and if it's flat - move it forward until correct.
