Hi everybody,
I am very proud to announce that the new L'Sound 5 strings Upright Electric/MIDI Bass prototype is a complete success on every aspect!!
In june 2011, my father Claude Lassonde offered me for my 30th birthday the plans he made to build me an electric/ MIDI upright bass... It was a dream of mine ever since I finished my master degree in classical double bass. Last week, he delivered his baby... And let me tell you, it is a pleasure to play!!! The results are so great that we are starting the production of more L'Sound Upright Bass very soon. The price is not set yet but it will be VERY competitive to NS or Clevinger basses.
Yesterday I had the chance of playing it in a classical orchestra and the sound with the bow was Awesome!!! I played Dvorak New World Symphonies many times but yesterday was the most fun
I blended easily with the orchestra and the conductor was very pleased with the results... He was a bit skeptical at first... Upright and amp in an orchestra...
I crossed the line there
I have to mention that the acoustic Image Coda R bass amp is a perfect fit for it.
The pizz sound is very warm and the MIDI is very well balanced thanks to RMC pickups by Richard McLish and some secrets tweaks on my Roland GR-55.
Fell free to ask questions... I will be posting sound and video demo soon!!
