iPhone VS Blackberry

I was an iPhone skeptic at first, but now I'm a fan after seeing my friend's iPhone in use when we were on a gig in Myrtle Beach. We had some trouble finding the venue, so he put the location into Google Maps, got the number from that, and used the phone to call and get directions.

Once we got there and got all set up, we still had some time for dinner, so he used it again to find us a good place to grab some Mexican.

I'm an idiot, I just changed my post. We have AT&T :o My Daughter just got a separate play with Verizon.

Then get the iPhone. If you've got the extra cash for it, it's a no-brainer. Amazing little device, and the mobile browsing is fantastic.

If you decide on the iPhone, wait until the beginning of June... if the Apple rumour-mill is to be believed (there's usually some truth in it), there'll be a new iPhone with 3G network compatability and GPS coming out around then.

I've been following the Apple Rumors sites and there is a lot of buzz about the 3G iPhone coming out soon. Unless you're in desperate need of a new phone, hold out another two months and see what comes out.
The iPhone is a really neat device. I don't have one, but plenty of my friends do and I always use theirs when they are around. If I had AT&T rather than T-Mobile I would buy one for myself.

i love my iphone. the device itself is amazing, and for a touring musician, the maps feature alone is worth the price tag. apple's biggest mistake, however, was having this incredible gadget on at&t's network. maybe it's not even that bad and honestly i can deal with that. but at&t also has the absolute worst customer service in the history of the phrase "customer service"

My friend has an unlocked iPhone (it's not available in Canada). Cool little thing and it hasn't given him problems. How important is the internet to you? I've definitely used my phone for Mapquest and song lyrics, etc, but you probably won't be doing heavy-duty surfing. If you are, go with the iPhone, but if not, any modern phone has decent internet capabilities (including pictures, Facebook/Myspace, and most modern amenities we kids can't live without :D).

Here a lot of people in Spain have it hacked. I'd not doubt a minute to buy one if only had the chance to also substitute my iPod with it... this means capacity has to go up to 30+ Gb for me being interested (my iPod has 27 gb worth of music on it)... well I'd then check battery airtime, with iPod, phone, notes etc in one device I'd be itnerested to know what autonomy it'd have...

I love my iPhone, I just do not care for ATT. 75% of the time I can not get a signal inside a building. Whereas, my wife has a Treo with sprint and gets a signal everywhere it seems. I have noticed the Sprint Internet is faster as well.

This June iPhone is getting a major software upgrade which will allow it to work properly with my Exchange Server, I can't wait for that. I really like the texting on the iPhone but I would like the screen to be able to rotate so you can hold it long ways when typing, I have big hands which makes it a little harder to hold and text.

I appreciate the input. DAMMIT THOUGH!! I can't wait for another phone to come out  My cell phone is all but dead. It only vibrates, the ringer doesn't work. That's actually a good thing as I get more work done but I do miss alot of important calls :D The charger connection is worn out as well. I guess I could get a free one, then upgrade in a few months :atoz:

OK, OK!!!

I need to talk with the AT&T rep tomorrow about an iPhone. I can't wait another month or two though  I'll end up paying the penalty or whatever to upgrade early :hmm:

Did the same thing. No penalty. You just pay full price. I have my iphone and I have to say I love the little bugger. Phone took a digger like yours and I couldn't upgrade. So I narrowed it down to a Blackberry Curve or the iphone. I went with the iphone. I've had it one day. I love it.

Just buy a compatible used phone on Ebay and transfer the SIM card to it. You can probably do that for less than $50! No upgrade penalties, no new contract. I've done this a number of times for myself and my daughters.
