Ipod ???

It allows you to install applications that Apple has not authorized. Youtube downloaders, updated versions of classic games, filing systems for applications, themes, emulators for Nintendo 64 and many other systems, etc.

I did it myself and loved it, but it is easy to mess up your ipod if you aren't careful. Ultimately, I got a new ipod touch and didn't bother to jailbreak it. It's not really worth it for me.

Yea I've had my iPod jailbroken for over a year now and it's awesome I have so many cool apps I don't know what to do with them and not to mention the themes are awesome. It was kinda confusing 2.2.1 but I recently updated to 3.0 and all you have to do is go to blackra1n.com and click a button and its over. Completely safe.

The only reason I haven't is because, when my brother did it, his battery wore out much quicker than before he jailbroke it. So he restored it and it's worked fine since.

But I would love to be able to play Nintendo on my iPod. That's the only thing it's missing. And I also think it's a pain to have to pay for all apps, or suffer by having the "lite" version. It is an annoyance.
So I can see jailbreaking being worth it, but wait until my warranty is up ;)

When I had my Itouch (I sold it to fund my jazz bass purchase, no regrets :D), I jailbroke it as soon as I could. It was pretty awesome being able to play Punchout and Mario. About the only things I disliked about the jailbreak was the fact that my Ipod froze up occasionally and over functionality was slowed down slightly, but other than that, it was all good. :)
