iReal Pro - Any good for bass?

Get your feet wet!

Play roots until you get comfortable with the changes, then add another note. Then add another.

All it will do, is make you a better, more versatile musician.

Yes, fair point. I hadn't really though of it like that. I listen to a lot of Blue Note jazz and am a bit in awe of those guys; they make it sound so easy, but I know it's so hard; if you know what I mean. Will probably give iReal a go then. Thanks

Get Ed Friedland's Building Walking Bass Lines if you don't have it already. Then create your own charts in iReal Pro to go along with the book. Also, there are lots of blues tunes that aren't just the I IV V progressions you hear in blues rock. Route 66 is a great example. I really don't think you'll regret buying it. And there are lots of pop tunes. Just not the three above.

Bought Ireal pro again this week. Within three seconds I imported 1440 jazz charts. Invaluable for $16. I suck at jazz, and if I work with this tool I guarantee I'll suck less
