iRig Stomp

I picked up an iRig Stomp tonight. I've only tried it with their own AmpliTube Free and with PocketGK Lite, but fifteen minutes of play hasn't impressed me at all - thin sounding, lots of clipping, plus I can't use my iPhone's internal BT with BT headphones. I'll give it another chance then back it goes.
it may be because I've read the iphone/ipad has a HPF. I got a decent sound from the irig, but didn't like the chorus. So back to pedal I went. Still use it for practice rig.
I'm back to looking at the iRiffPort - to avoid cluttering up this thread I started a new one at http://www.talkbass.com/forum/f43/iriffport-experiences-933375/ . I'm beginning to think salvation lies with using the accessory port for an interface instead of the audio port.
I've been using an Alesis iO4 with my iPad and it works great. I wanted to get the Roland Duo-Capture EX due to its more agreeable form factor, but I didn't want to wait.
I did order an iRiffPort today for a practice tool, but I'd still like to see if I can make the Stomp work for me for non-headphone use.
Give up on the headphone port.....

Art usb dual pre (2 channel) the inputs and outputs are very versatile.
Also doubles as my Mac interface.
One thing is that when using ios device I use the apple USB/30 pin adapter.
I gave up on the Stomp - back it went. IK really needs to develop a Lightning / 30 pin solution if they want to stay competitive.

What is the price of the ART compares to the iTrack?
I'm very happy about the Apogee jam. The major minus with the Jam is that the sound you are going to hear live is going to go through the headphone jack. But, the most important thing is that the sound coming from the bass and in the app is "clean", and the Apogee is doing that well. I know that on of the tech guys behind the Ampkit is using the Apogee Jam.
The overall best solution will be something like the iTrack or the ART unit as these two contains a DAC and a headphone amp as well which is a must in order to drive a "heavy" headphone. And, most serious headphones are heavy to drive.

The art right now is about $60 but the USB camera kit also needs to be purchased at around $30. And maybe a 9 volt power supply but I had one already.
