Here’s my “slimmed” down collection. I used to own every one but let go of the ones I REALLY couldn’t use. The one I regret the most is the Xerograph standard. (If you know you know.) There is nothing that can do the slow filter sweep like the Xerograph standard. Even the deluxe can’t do it totally.

Still looking for a group of people that would play synth pop type stuff so I can utilize these fully. Right now they are home bodies.

So I've got a bass chorus towards the end of my signal chain, right after my Xerograph Deluxe. I absolutely love the pedal where it is, but I've also got a Divaricator earlier in my chain, and my dream has been to be able to switch the chorus in and out of the loop of the Div. Basically, sometimes I want it after my filter, and sometimes I want it after the the Fairfield Accountant in the chain of the Div, in which case it will only affect my highs.

I just bought a Coppersound Labyrinth, which presumably allows me to do this. Here are the instructions:

In this case, the "Any Pedal" is the Chorus, and the Daedalus is the Divaricator. Since I've already got the Fairfield in the loop, I asked for more specifics about how it should be wired, and Alex from Coppersound very helpfully drew up this diagram:

The only problem is that the Divaricator doesn't have a separate send/return, and I can't for the life of me figure out how to wire this, or if it's even possible. Does anyone have experience with the Labyrinth, or have any ideas how this could work?

I haven't had experience in ether, but you are aware that when using an insert cable, it having one more ring than a standard instrument cable, the ring and tip are now a send and receive, the insert cable should split on one end. The hand drawn picture, you really just think of the S and R atop the IE pedal, as one TRS jack, that when using an insert cable will give you the send and receive on the other end.

I couldn't tell you which Ring or Tip on the Divaricator is send and receive (as I don't see it on the web site) but it should be easy enough to figure out, I see on the Labyrinth the tip would be return, sleave return

Imagine the FX jack on the Labyrinth the same as the jack on the Divaricator, a TRS I/O jack

I guess the issue I'm having is that if the ring (send) goes from the Div to the compressor, then where should the tip go? If it goes to the output of the comp, then the Labyrinth will be kept out of the loop. But if it goes to the EXP of the Labyrinth, the the comp will have no output.

I feel like I might be missing something obvious but I can't figure out what it is.

The EXP on the Labrynth has to connect Tip to Ring when in thru mode or it would mute any fx loop it's connected to.

Can you not just hook everything up like the color diagram above, and just add the compressor on the send portion of the insert cable on the Divaricator?
Too many unknowns (for my advise) on the other brands gear, but from what it looks like its just different ways of using the ports/jacks, as the TRS jack on the Divaricator does both exp and send/receive, the Lab has dedicated ports for each of these functions?

My first thought is that you'd have to splice together the tip-to-ring of the two insert cables. Trying to noodle through how the second drawing actually works, tried to read more about the Lab but the website is busted. Divar and Accountant are always on?

The Div is only on when I want a low end boost with a little grit on top from the growl switch (the Accountant is always on inside of the Div's loop). Sometimes I'd like to throw the chorus into that loop so I can keep the low end dry, but other times I want it after my filter, which isn't in the loop.

If it helps, here's the other side of the instructions card

I've got the ring from the Div going to the comp now, the thing that's sticking me up is that the output of the comp needs to go to the return (tip) of a Y cable coming out of the EXP jack in the Lab, while the send (ring) from the EXP Y cable needs to go to a theoretical return jack in the Div. The problem is there is no return jack in the Div.

You need 3 of these: (Lets assume the red plug is ring)
12-inch Flat Pedal Y-Splitter Cable

And one of these:
1/4 in TRS to Same - Couplers - Audio Adapters | Hosa Cables

Connect the TRS to the Divaricator S/R, connect the red side to the accountant input. Connect the black to the coupler.

Next connect a TRS to the FX port. Now connect the black to the input and red to output of your chorus.

Finally, connect the last TRS to the EXP then connect black to the coupler and connect red to the accountant output.

(If you don't have a coupler right now, use a spare pedal in bypass )

Yo thanks for this! This is exactly what I was looking for. I didn't even realize those couplers existed.

I'm also short one Y splitter cable, I'm going to order this stuff asap. I really appreciate the help!
