Hopefully....but that might even be optimistic. China still shuts cities down over a dozen COVID cases. That means no work in those cities...and a whole lot of other no's - food shopping, medicine pickups, social gatherings... It's pretty horrible. The US has moved on but other parts of the world are not so lucky. We definitely appreciate what you are leaking out to us.

Very nice explanation here. I dig my original Polytope, but I guess I should probably get on the list for the updated version. I'm in the camp that uses 'normaler' sounds, and "easier to dial in" is good. :)

The XD stole my face right off my head. This is a quick non-board setup to go through a few settings. My TRS cable sputtered to its untimely demise literally today as well, so I haven't had the full XD experience quite yet. Classic synth setup to put it through its paces. Usually, phaser is at the end but I've been really digging toggling between chorus and vibrato on the Waterfall between classic chorus tones and vibrato as a detune effect. (Thanks John Davis for that idea. Apparently his TB handle is inactive?).

Second thing's first. DAMN this thing is beautiful. The sweep of the knobs, typography, color design, LED, etc. It's just lovely to look at and feel.

First thing's second. FUNNGGGGGK. The Gs are very important there, folks. It's the sweaty, nasty, highly squelchlike wet filter tones that earn this beast of a machine its Gs. The two-pole on Slow mode reminds me of classic filters. Four-pole on Fast is positively synth heaven. Putting the Mastotron before it with its Tone all the way up delivers the harmonics the XD feasts on. Octabvre is just about perfect in the chain. I really need that TRS cable so I can get the sweeps going. Can't wait to try that out!

I have experience with filters, not as much as some TBers, but about ten or so in my years of playing. From MXR, to Emma, 3Leaf, Mr Black, Broughton and others. I still have a few of these and love them for different reasons. Will I go out on a limb and say the XD gives me everything I've ever wanted in a filter? Yes. Yes, I will.

A few people have already contacted me about selling or trading. I still need to try the updated model which is supposed to arrive tomorrow but after reading Taylor's response about making alterations for a more useable range of sounds I was surprised when I tried this old model because it sounds great dialed in a variety of ways, a truly lush & beautiful chorus effect.
