I can tell there are some cool sounds in here, but I wouldn't want to beleive that the expression modes S and + simply don't do anything, via expression pedal or exp knob, like the XD.

Frantabit owners out there, is this correct? Surely not. Had a heck of a day at work and really wanted this to work

Mine is also like that.
So, when the rotary is on S OR +, nada? I've tried with and without an expression, I was kind of under the impression the exp knob would change something with no expression pedal linked up, but I don't know. I've now tried 2 different exp pedals, cords. To have NO sound come through those 2 "modes" just doesn't sound right.

It wouldn't be so bad, but it's been over 3 months of pedal porn to tide me over...

The Exp knob controls how much influence the expression pedal is contributing to whatever parameter is selected by the mode switch. So it won't have any effect with no expression pedal connected. To make it easier to learn/troubleshoot, I would start with no expression pedal, and S mode.

Now turn Samples and Bits all the way clockwise, and Mix all the way counter-clockwise, and volume to the center. Can you hear your clean signal? I will be away from internet service for the next 4 days but will keep checking this tonight and you can of course always email me at info at ironether dotcom and I'll keep checking that before I leave.

I'm putting my kids down, but right after I'm back on. I can say with 99% certainty when the pedal was on mode S OR +, with NO expression pedal, engaged I couldn't get a single sound to come through at any setting, checking again now

No, setting it up like this yields no sound, switch to B does, plus is the same, no sound, M has sound. I guess I shoot you an email. Dang.

Infact B and M.., aound the same. Like bits are good, and samples are not. Man I hait that, the portion working sounds great

Follow up with the Franta bit, wow! out of all the IE pedals, this is definitely the most fun with an expression pedal, especially if you can pump different LFOs. There really is a ton of different sounds packed in here. Without the expression plugged in, I like the degrade side best, with the samples & mix CCW, you can get a really low tubey sound, dubbish. Obliterate sounds amazing expressing the Samples side, I've set it up in my switcher, but I haven't had time to try it. I'm going to have my signal bi amped, high end will go through the frantabit, and envelope, and low end through fuzz. Should sound cool. I've also wondered what loop I want this in, and I think it belongs in the Fuzz loop with the Divaricator, at first I thought FMeron/XD loop, but nah -

Any cool combos with a frantabit/Fmeron/XD/Divaricator out there? I haven't tried a octave paired either.
