Hey gang, I'm thinking about swapping out the knobs on my Subterranea, since on some stages, it's been hard to see where the levels are set on the originals. Been recommended this store for plenty of options, but does anybody know what size shafts I'm working with? That way I can narrow my search down appropriately.

Hi all, I'd love to try a Nimbus SE or Divaricator. I'm happy to buy outright, but that seems like a long shot so in trade I can offer the following (+/- cash as needed) as well as some other gems like a Doom 2 High Gain Mod:

The Nimbus is only up for trade if a Nimbus SE is incoming. Nimbus for Divaricator would sadly leave me without any ominous clouds.

I feel like I ask this question every few years so here we go again: how do y'all go about dialing in your XD? It always feels like I'm dissatisfied with the sounds I get out of it, and envious of what I hear in demo videos.
With Expression pedal: 2-pole, Freq at 9 o'clock, Exp at 3 o'clock, Resonance where you like it, Filter vol 12 o'clock, Freq where it responds best for you. OC-2 into Woolly mammoth and you basically have a moog synth patch.

I play an active bass so your levels my differ. I run an Octabvre MKII into a Doom 2 into the XD for my version of a low-gain bass synth.

If there ever was a pedal I've been so on the fence with.. The top 3 knobs are the most important, (if no exp plugged in I keep the exp knob Full CCW) - I start my RES @ 9, SENS @ Full CCW and FREQ @ 11. My trick is, I have to be able to play as I turn the knobs - this is must for me. As I'm plucking, light > strong, I start to turn the SENS slowly, when I hear envelope opening and closing I STOP, and then start to adjust (while plucking) the FREQ, this seemingly gives a wider envelope opening, and then finally the RES will bring out the very top of your range, but don't go too far unless you're ready for some strangeness. To me the pedal is really sensitive, but everyone is correct, when you have it dialed its a very nice pedal, especially when pushing other pedals through it (Only thing with that is, if you change your level upstream you have to re "tune" the SENS. A lot of IE pedals are like this imho.

Hey all, I've been out of the IE world for a few years. In the distant past when I wasn't really familiar with a lot of fx, I had an XD and an Oxide among other IE pedals. Sold them of course. Recently got the GAS again. I now once again have an XD :woot:.

I'd like another Oxide, but it's not on the site any more, is it discontinued? What's the model for production and sales these days? Hopefully not as dream-crushing as the Broughton world...

Sign up for pre-orders on the site.

I suppose that depends on what your dreams are.
There's plenty of good stuff in stock on the Broughton site right now.
There's nothing in stock on IE. (This is not a dig just an observation, I have no issue with how he runs things)
If you want an Oxide, you can take out a loan for a quick scalping, or wait for someone, who's not a butt, to post one for a reasonable price.

Only you, can prevent forest fires.

He hasn't made one in the "new format", there are some on reverb but they are earlier ones, side jacks. I've had both it did seem like there was more gain on the latest version (top jack), or at least the gate operated different
