Don has worked with me on a bunch of the pedals. He's kinda my electronics mentor, having been a professional engineer longer than I've been on this Earth. I go to him when
I have a problem I don't know how to solve, and he also has a lot of interesting ideas of his own. I probably could've made some version of all of these pedals on my own, but they wouldn't be half as good without Don's input.

Besides this one, Don was heavily involved in the design of:

FMeron
Subterranea
Dubterranea
Divaricator
QF2 (and he built every QF2 himself)

And also advised me on all kinds of tweaks and design principles that filtered into the other pedals. I owe quite a lot to Don! He's a really good dude, though we have never met in person due to geographic distance.

Anyone that could conjure up the FMeron (or the idea behind at least half of it) has to be quite an engineer.

Good lord, looking up the laundry list of things he's patented?! Everything from pro audio to HP.

Knowing that about the QF2, will that be the case if more are made?

The Xerograph (no Deluxe) was the first IE pedal. Originally it just had Resonance and Frequency knobs. I only made one like that before realizing that every pedal absolutely needs a volume knob. So every one after that had at least 3 knobs.

Before the Deluxe, there was sort of an a la carte menu where you could add the envelope follower (+Sensitivity knob), clean blend, up/down switch, slow/fast switch, in whatever combo you wanted. If you chose every option, the total was $255 in 2010 dollars, equivalent in today's money to $350. I ditched all the options and rolled them all together into the Deluxe. It turns out that offering a bunch of options is just confusing for people and they're never sure if they made the right choice.

I said 2 knob, and it isn't a deluxe but is a Xerograph. I'd probably get along with it very well honestly. It was noted to be the first pedal, dont quote me on that, but the page did mention it.

Sweet knobs though

@Taylor Livingston so everything used to be custom order via etsy? Seems most of these boutique companies started with custom lines, understandably when things got more popular they needed to be uniform I guess. I'm sure those are some hot items

Thanks... reminds me that I had a two knob Xero too.

For me, IE makes the best filter pedals; I got two of them on my board.

Yeah I like mine too. I've used it more than my chromatron lately, but I have to say for just clean bass I don't use the XD. I've been pushing a bit crusher and fuzz hard into it, arcing prisms backing all of that with great results. Some reason I get better results with the chrome with a clean signal, could be the way it's all hooked up too. Why I mention I'd probably get along with a simpler Xerograph - sensitive little sucker
