Haha! At this rate, in about 6 months, I'll be telling everyone what a steal I got mine for...
Since I am discovering that they differ more than just the fact one is analog and one is digital I would love a SubTerranea release to go with my DubT.
Taylor has stated that the Subterranea is discontinued. He's been quite clear about that. I suppose he could change his mind, but it seems his creative juices are moving in other directions. I suspect that the next non-FMeron synth release from Iron Ether will be a Dubterranea, Dubterrograph, or something entirely new.
Some unethical person named Dustin is already trying to sell his new XD on Reverb for $600 + $20 shipping. Shameful.
It sucks that people thrive by taking advantage of other people.
Hopefully the "relative abundance" of that pedal helps bring the price down.
It's cool if someone wants or needs to sell their XD. It's not for everyone. Or maybe they need money for something else. But if someone is going to excessively profit from a newly built pedal, it should be the builder. Taylor designed and assembled the Xerograph Deluxe. Seeing someone so immediately and blatantly try to profit on Taylor's work is discouraging.
I think this already is the case. XDs do not command the same prices as discontinued pedals (Subterranea, Oxide) and pedals that haven't been made in years (Nimbus, Polytope). There's also just way more XDs that have been built than any other Iron Ether pedal. No one even remotely informed will pay that price because you can get an XD for far less (one sold in the TB classifieds this morning for $380), but plenty of people aren't informed

let's not get into the ethics discussion...though I find it interesting, it never ends well and people's opinions are what they are and arguing about it won't change a thing beyond your membership status here.

You know what is going to be useful? The sick sounds I can make with my IE pedals + the Source Audio Collider I got today. Oh yeah. Buckle up, brain, it's time to think.
If I recall correctly, last time (2 or 3 years ago?) the moderation issue was the personal attacks on a TB member who was buying from folks on here and flipping on Reverb. The discussion topic was not a problem; how it was conducted was what needed moderation.
Regardless, I said my piece and don't need to pursue it. I'm just clarifying that this not a banned topic like religion or politics.
Not sure why an ethics discussion should be verboten... I'm reasonably new around here, so not trying to step on any toes, but anybody who is selling these pedals for an inflated value is IMHO engaging in an ugly and unethical game. It's by no means illegal, so this isn't an accusation, but it just feels incredibly wrong, and is highly disappointing. Unless you're selling to a guitar player... because they're the worst! Worse even than people trying to profit off the hard work of others 
I agree, selling pedals at super inflated prices is terrible. My elevator doesn't subscribe to that floor..
In a fun note, I finally realized the magic in the Filter knob on the SubT! I had been so focussed on getting a killer dub reggae sound out of the pedal (my main use by far for the Sub), and I found after a quick turn of the Filter that it was taking me way out of dub territory, so I forgot about it.
Now I've just got a project starting that'll be some electronic/synth/noise/groove stuff, and that Filter knob (plus about 5-10% more Octo Synth) has gotten my Sub to go from rub-a-dub reggae to "angry robot"... AND I LIKE IT!
Was having a little 90s jam/dance party with the S.O. the other night, and so of course some Spice Girls found its way into the mix. I forgot how greasy some of those synth sounds were! And I knew I had to try to re-create it with the Sub, so now I've got a YT bass cover of a Spice Girls song that I'm sure nobody will watch! But hey, cool Iron Ether sound samples, so maybe I can sucker a few of you into giving it some views

Hey folks, quick question: when using the Xerograph Deluxe, what does the Envelope Switch do? I know it makes it sounds different (and quieter) but I am having a hard time figuring out exactly what it is doing. I would check the manual... but I seemed to have misplaced it...
It basically makes it function like a wah with an expression pedal. It turns off the envelope sensitivity so you can sweep through with your foot.
