On the waiting list for an XD. I had a v1 and miss it. The two switch version is much closer to the perfect filter for me. That being said if we are putting together a “Xerograph Super Deluxe“ wish list let’s add lfo with selectable wave shapes ;)

I definitely hear you on the "XDD" - having knobs for attack and decay and the effects loop would be cool. Probably means a double-sized enclosure, as you say.

Can you tell me more about what you had in mind with the bolded part? The EXP knob limits how much the control signal from the expression pedal can offset the filter's cutoff frequency. It sounds like you want it to instead/also control the maximum frequency that your playing dynamics can sweep the cutoff up to, but that's effectively what the Sensitivity knob does.

I can recommend the Copilot Broadcast for this purpose if you have room for one (also useful for many other LFO utilities): Copilot Fx Broadcast tap tempo LFO Expression Pedal

Oh that’s right, right on SBT. That’s some modular thinking there.

Let me reiterate a side road that I think is worth checking out. That being using filters, the EQ type not Envelope followers or anything automated, not that there’s anything wrong will that and the broadcast is a great (sick) idea. But I’m talking static fillers or EQ to remove frequencies in a targeted way. I just want to let the Xerogragh do its thing but mess with what it sees for different sounds and triggers. I’ll get a para when I can.
The Fairfield “Long Life Parametric EQ” is twisted. The WMD Unity is a 3 band

Anybody looking for a Subterranea? I'd like to TRADE mine. Didn't want to put it in the Classified sections yet in case there was interest here in the IE "fan" group. I'm assuming it's ok to post here since it's a trade. If not, I'll create a proper trade ad in the Classifieds.

I can add a picture later. It's an older one....pretty ugly, actually, very "rusty" looking. Works fine. I used it last night.

Trade interests include overdrives, comps or weird noisemakers...pretty much anything is considered. PM, please. Thanks.

Been using mine the last two practices as a way to thicken up my fuzz/dirt in a few sections where guitar shifts from playing the same line as me to a higher harmony. It’s worked beautifully to fill things out, but that’s a pretty limited use given all the synth features.

I had the broadcast and it is indeed cool, but to have an extra pedal on the board rather than an LFO in the pedal is a pain. Dr Scientist Dusk has been cool but the envelope mode is a little tricky and the sensitivity pot is inside the pedal. Funkzilla is cool too, but no manual sweep via exp. I need a Xero DLX with a LFO in my life :)

Yeah the only filter pedal I know of with all of this functionality in one is the WMD Protostar, and I’d say while it covers an immense number of filter tones it doesn’t really master any of the more standard ones IMO. I like the Broadcast because I can use it across my pedalboard (especially useful via MIDI expression). It must be a lot to fit all these in one box or there’d be more options out there

thank you Alien8 that’s so cool of you yeah man I hit him up and it’s exactly that old style knob rust brown old shoe that I want to look down and see on a board.
I’m thinking a small home practice board with the 3 Leaf Enabler Pre/headphone amp.
I got all kinds of stuff I’ve be meaning to get in the classifieds and I’ll make sure it works for him. Thx again

I was in an odd mood last night and it was my one night a week for being somewhat loud in the music room (my wife is away on Tuesday nights for time at the kilns)...so I was actually playing guitar with my newly set up board. Took out my old Telecaster and had at it, something I rarely do. What I found was that the Arcing Prisms sounds really good with guitar and that it really works differently than it does with bass. Feeding it guitar with a variety of different signals from fuzz to clean to everything in between, hitting it with envelope filter, chorus, etc. and there's so much going on with it. Note that you totally don't have to limit your use of it to bass.

I have a hard time figuring what you'd have to do to get your pedal to look like this. Also have to laugh at:
"It is in excellent condition. It has been gingerly used on a pedal board for about a year. It's in beautiful overall shape"

In excellent condition (for a pedal that has been sitting on a shoreline, being sandblasted and waterlogged for several months).
