I recorded my bass parts with a jazz bass - 75% neck 100% bridge 100% tone, DI through a Universal Audio pre-amp with a tad of compression.
Yesterday the engineer said he's going to re-amp the guitars and I remembered a lot of bass players mic a cabinet to go with the DI signal for a fuller sound, which I didn't.
I'm mainly worried my bass will be heard but not felt (happened on previous recordings). Is it worth it to pay extra to have the engineer re-amp the bass as well or is the DI signal carrying decent lows?
