Is anyone making white hardware?

I had a friend that made custom salt water fishing stuff (rods,reels,….).
He machined them out of aluminum, then anodized (plated) them.
White was one of the color choices.
Finish was very durable.
People into (insert hobby) spend crazy money on their fun time.
FYI, many DIY folks have crude setups in their garage to successfully anodize metal.

Just thinking about color combinations, and white hardware could be pretty good with some.

If there is white hardware out there, does anyone know what it's coated with and how durable the coating is?
I'd never thought about white hardware before, but this is a great question. After all, it's 2026, why do we NOT have every color in the spectrum available?" I'm guessing the answer is "insufficient profit margin" given the size of the niche.
The only suggestion I have for this is buy chrome and have it sandblasted then look up someone that does Cerakote in your area and pay them to have it done in white.
I'd seen the word "Cerakote" before but didn't know what it was. From what I'm reading about it now, that definitely sounds like the way to go. I wonder what it would cost for a bass's worth of hardware? Apparently white can be done:

Very intriguing. Thanks, @Gopherbassist.

I looked at having a project Cerakoted a few years back and it wasn't cheap, but not horrible either. However, it was cost prohibitive for that specific project and I ended up going a much less expensive route. Best bet would be to take all the hardware to the Cerakote place and getting a quote. 🤷‍♂️

White epoxy paint should last a good long while, but will eventually wear through on high spots. I've used it to repaint a scuffed up washer/dryer, and it held up pretty well. Can't remember which brand, maybe Krylon? I didn't use any primer, but you probably should over shiny chrome or similar. You have to completely de-grease it and maybe scuff it up with a scotchbrite and then base coat it with epoxy primer. There's a Rattlecan Club here on TB, somebody's probably done this before, or look it up on YT.

Interesting. In the example shown, they did evertything including tuner gear surfaces. I'd like to see how that held up.

I've wondered about that. That would be awesome.

I don't believe you can anodize white. Powder coating is your best option for lasting color.
These are anodized:
