Is Google Analytics messing up this site?

I keep hanging on pagead2.google.analytics.com which has something to do with Google Analytics, a free tracking service.
I have noticed the same thing with other sites that are using Google Analytics. I have to reload over and over to view anything on this site. I think Talkbass should shut down their Google Analytics account until they get it fixed.

I keep getting "500 internal server error" also. My computer is working fine and other sites are working too.

I've been killing time here ALL DAY... not a single issue.

WinXP pro & Firefox on Comcast cable.

Maybe you've got a corrupt cookie or some such? Not that that would likely cause 500 internal server errors... but the hanging might be fixed. Unless the corruption is sending illegal data to the server that it's not set to handle???

I'd clear you temp files and cookies anyway, it never hurts.

I figured it out. pagead2.googlesyndication.com is some kind of google add thing that bogs down your internet. It redirects every page you try to load. I found some blogs on it and it seems to be a common problem for Firefox users. I just downloaded an adblock add-on for firefox and added that site to the block list and walla, no more slow down.

TalkBass uses Google Adsense like nearly every other site out there (those text ads you see). That's all it is. Not sure but there's some hangup in your route somewhere.

If you block ads, fine, but please consider a Supporting Membership. It takes $$ to send data down the tubes to you Thanks.

I'm sorry but I have to block the ads. This site just locks up from those ads. It is weird that everything has been fine for a month and then suddenly it just starts locking up, but blocking the ads fixed it immediately. If I ever get a frickin job again I will surely pay to be a supporting member. Don't hold you breath though, because from where I stand this is way worse than a recession. This is the next great depression.
