let me repeat myself some people playing 5 string bass and making noise …. If you can’t play 4 string it’s very wise to get 5 . I don’t care what anyone play unless they sound like crap . My point is play what you can handle . I

This has gone way past done.

How in the hell it is somehow a test of musical manhood, how cool you are, or if you're a better musician judged by how many strings your bass has? If you're some how insecure because of this anxiety, that's a YOU problem, not an US problem.

Grow up, get a life, and play WHATEVER suits you and helps you make your best music, whatever that is. That's the only thing that matters.

This topic has gotten old enough to draw flies. Get over it.
