Hi there everybody ,I am new at the forum and this is my first post. I have very stuped question ( i think so 
). So i have one very old bass ,it's electric.But I want to have acoustic,so can I remake it ,may be drill a hole at the back and make somethink like the back of acoustic guitar. Please don't judge me ,i want to do something with the bass, that I will use him,becouse I have a bass and I play on it ,but this one is very old and it doesn't work. So thanks for the answers,and I hope that there is some chanse to do it .Thank you!

. But this wouldn't make it an acoustic, just lighter weight. The thickness of the wood on acoustics is very thin to make them resonate, I'm pretty sure you would not be able to get your bass to this thin without it falling apart. If you had it thicker, it would probably just be a slightly louder electric unplugged if your very lucky. You could turn it into a semi acoustic which would be much easier, but I'm not sure it would sound that much louder.
