I get the joke, but IRL, a Preist is housed by the church, and a football coach is paid well enough to afford a house. No comparison.

Well looks like things are working out, I think the girl in the office I talked to yesterday didn't know what she was talking about. The big boss lady said it would be ok if I paid next months rent plus $1200 by the end of feb. Fair enough.
Oh and my job got transferred all of the sudden because of lack of communication between the higher ups and my boss. If they did it right I would have had at least a week to prepare. Frantically trying to pack my things and tie loose ends together atm.

If you dont mind me asking, what kind of work do you do? edit: Just saw your profile says GC Repair Tech, is that the job moving you out of state so soon?
Even one week seems like relatively little time to uproot and move one's life to another state.

Not that I like breaking an agreement but they are totally taking advantage of you.
Your doing them a real big favor by agreeing to pay all that.
If it's in your contract that you need to pay a $1200 penalty that's fine but additional rent is just gravy for them.
This is one way for a less than legitimate landlord to make easy money.
Pay the $1200 penalty if it's really in writing and tell them to have a nice day. Most landlords will take the money and run rather than dragging it through court.
