I would totally keep it. 2 reasons:So I was mentioning to my girlfriend how cool I think pink basses are and while I was on the phone blabbering to her about it she was on the thomann website buying me one of the new Harley Benton Jazz basses as a surprise birthday gift. A Harley Benton MV-4JB in shell pink
I'm shocked at the quality of this bass. It feels better than my squier 40th anniversary jazz bass which costs more than twice as much. Also has white binding and flawless fretwork and the pickups sound amazing. Ive played a 2000 dollar G&L jazz bass and this Harley Benton is about one tier lower in quality in my honest opinion. It came set up and all I had to do was adjust the pickup height. The bass is obviously a keeper but I think my girlfriend is as well

I noticed a detail that's really cool, the fret markers on the side of the neck are teo-toned.
I am a sentimental a0hole and things like your babe did mean a lot to me.

Yes to both. Beautiful bass. I bought their mustang-style bass for my daughter and was really impressed with the quality. Enjoy your bass and your awesome GF.
Among other things, I'm impressed with the 3 string tree / retainer. Nice touch, HB.
A clever design indeed as the angle of the strings at the nut are perfect thanks to this string tree.
I also like the fact that all the strings are on a straight line between the tuners and the nut.

That particular model… no I haven’t tried one but I have had a couple other HBs. They are ok as is but they are a great platform for modding. My not a keeper answer is because I don’t really care for the J bass body and pickup configuration and the one block and bound neck from HB I had just didn’t do it for me.
Also, I kinda like going against the grain on TB
I'm particularly impressed by the tasteful style of these HBs, also in the other colors.
If they were to make one in aged white or blonde, with a bound maple neck and white pearl inlays, matching headstock... I'd ask my wife to buy me one in a heartbeat.
