Is the Squier Vintage Modified P-Bass worth it

I have AU$550 to get a new bass and i have narrowed it down to about two or three models, the squier affinity p-bass and the squier vintage modified. What i really want to know is wether the vintage modified is worth the extra money, and if i should just forget the squier?

I own a vm p bass and love it. Its became my main gigging p bass. and just recently found out it sounds great drop tuned to cgcf. I would recommend it especially over the affinity series. The cv series is nice too but no models really stand out to me. and squiers make a great bass to mod but still look like a cheap bass so no one will try and steal them at shows.

I have both the squier standard and VM precisions. The standard has a jazz neck. The VM has a P neck and the pickup is fantastic! much better than the standard, though both basses are really worth their money IMO

Try them both I would say

What about the Standard??? with the j and p pickups ???

Agreed. They're awesome. Some pics from last week.
