I have tried several semi-hollows but the are even heavier. Ibanez artcore, guild, jack cassady. All of them.

Is there a semi-hollow that actually weights less than a solid?

The Hofner contemporary basses have a full length sustain block so they are sort of semi hollow. About 5.7 lbs
The Grez Mendocino is just about 7 lbs LS or 6 lbs SS.
The Peters hybrid bass is under 7 lbs

Yeah, instruments with A) a solid center-block; and B) laminated tops & backs will almost always weigh a lot more than the "semi-hollow" designaton would suggest. Even fully hollow archtop instruments made with laminated tops & backs can be surprisingly heavy.
The real weight savings is in "chambered" instruments ime.
I have a Hofner Green line Violin Bass. Actual weight is 4.5 lbs. unbelievably light!
Epi Jack Casady is too heavy? Good god it's like 7lbs. The center block is hogged out to the point that there's practically nothing from the neck joint to the bridge end. I don't know how it could be considered heavy in any way.
the reverend Fat Fish is a light bass. I do know what you mean. I have about 7 hollowbodies. Lakland Hobo (heavy), epiphone Rivoli (heavy), Guild starfire with p bass pick up (light), reverend rumblefish (9lbs.).

My Lakeland HB30 is 8 lbs even. Not a boat anchor, but heavier than I would have expected. All the HB30 examples on Sweetwater are less than 7.5 lbs.

Arch-top semi-hollow instruments tend to be among the heaviest basses out there. They often have a big body and a weighty center block, often maple, which can have some real weight to it. If you want light, you want a fully hollow bass, or you want a smaller-bodied semi-hollow design.
It's the same with guitars. For example, the Gibson ES-335/345/355 semi-hollows are often boat anchors...while the ES-330 (the fully hollow bodied version of the same body shape) is very light.

My Ibanez SRH505F weighs 7.6lbs. I've seen them even lighter.

Looking on Sweetwater...
Jack Casady basses weigh around 8 lbs (3.6kg) and up.
Guild Starfire around 7 lb (3.2kg) and up
Their only Ibanez Artcore is 6 lb 6 oz (2.9kg).
The Casady and Starfire are both around the ballpark of conventional or light solid body basses. I'm curious what solid-body basses you're playing that weigh less than 3 kg.
