i don't know what y'all are talking about. i LOVE that video.

it's horrible and awful, shows no musicianship and the "artists" are laughable little twits. it's the perfect accidentally ironic condemnation of everything horrific in pop right now.

and watching the 14 year old little grrLs go from trying to look sexy and failing miserably because they ARE children to just looking uncomfortable and embarrassed because even they know how truly pitiful it all is?

pure. comedy. GOLD.

love it.

wow. you took the 9000 words that were going through my head and put them into a really neat little package. thanks. excellent job.

From wikipedia

"Thrash Magazine" has called them "a mockery to the world of music".
Cracked.com contributor Michael Swaim said the band sounded like "a Slipknot-Cher duet".
British commentator Warren Ellis calls Brokencyde's "FreaXXX" music video "a near-perfect snapshot of everything that’s **** about this point in the culture".

The New Musical Express stated in a review of I'm Not a Fan, But the Kids Like It!, that "even if I caught Prince Harry and Gary Glitter adorned in Nazi regalia defecating through my grandmother’s letterbox I would still consider making them listen to this album too severe a punishment."

Exactly

lulz. i watched it again. i can't NOT focus on the poor grrLs. you can SEE the regret coalescing in their expression with each progressive frame.

it's.... kinda hypnotic. try watching with the sound turned down and Bjork's Army Of Me (og version or Sucker Punch soundtrack version) playing instead, and image them banding together to neuter every douche that thinks this is a worthwhile expression of art......

beautiful.

I like these guys. They're fun and did something really original.

Also, they are a great representation what I think is the most important overall development in music over the past 10-20 years: the loss of power and relevance of all elite decision-makers (label management, journalists, record store clerks, teachers, producers etc.), and the redistribution of their decision-making power to random music fans and musicians.

most people/parents hate the younger generations music. its normal evolution. ( my parents called the beatles "noise",with no musical value) im sure there is already something similar on mtv. there seems to be more 16yr old moms nowadays, everything seems to be happening earlier as far as the girls trying to look sexy. blame their parents :)

To me this is just another example of current American crap music/entertainment.
No creativity.
No talent.

Oh yeah, I had to add that I hope no girls out there think it is cool to "just get freaky...", all I can say is that they will be great future guests on the Maury show trying to find their baby's daddy.

Maury: "Well uh Lisa this is your fifth time on the show now, do you think Reginald there is your baby's daddy?"
Lisa: "Oh yeah, I know it's him Maury, my baby's ass looks just like his face..."
Maury: "Well let's just open the envelope here and (pause for effect) OH NO, Reginald is NOT the father!"
Reginald: "That's right you stupid b****!"
Lisa: "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"

ok im saying this as a young man at 20 (where i live however thats the age of a grandad) its honistly horrid. i know what your trying to say about the "parents hating there kids music" thing and that never happend in my house. hell me and my dad seen mi ami a few months ago. (Mi Ami -- Latin Lover - YouTube) but honistly i find that brokencyde thing to be complete garbage.

are they trying to combine fans of screamo and rap?
are they sereous?

i dont think most people with ears that work could find that good.

brokeNCYDE "Freaxxx" - YouTube!

this made me really really angry. i cant believe people actually listen to this ****. im not a violent person, but i really want to hurt the people in that video. as a musician and a human being, that video violates the principles i hold most dear.

i had to share my anger, im sorry you had to be exposed to that horrid sight. but how can we solve a problem if nobody knows its there?

One of the most difficult thing, as a reasonable male who is against violence against women (which is, really, a subset of "violence against humans") is to not respond from a place of "I'd like to hurt the people who did that" - because that response perpetuates, you guessed it, violence.

I understand the sentiments, and they're coming from a good place. If you're serious about them, work on rechanneling how they get expressed, and work on making your part of the world a better, safer, more loving place.

I think the whole idea behind the video was so the band could actually get within 3 feet of girls like that without recieving swirlies from their boyfriends as that's probably what most likely happens to them in real life. I wonder if there's a picture of this group in Rock 'n Roll Confidential's Hall of Douches. *lol*
