Hi.
Just found this bass on a second market site in France. It's listed as a Fender deluxe precision bass from 2008 with upgraded bridge.
I'm puzzled by the neck plate.
What do you think?

This plate don't match with the body heel...

That's the point! I've seen this kind of plate before, but with rounded heels!

What I see in the fender site is definitely rounded! Not square like the one I showed you..

Should be it... I see what you say. It's subtle but it's there...

Modern elites or ultra have similar plates, but tapering is much more noticeable than this...

Look closer and you'll see the heel is shaved for access. Bad pic, yes, but I can see it.

I love the neck plate and heel on those deluxe which does drop off on the upper left side. Very comfortable!

I think it's the color and photo that's throwing off the look. I can see it pretty clear. But, you gotta look close.

It’s similar to the heel on my MIM Fender Deluxe Active Precision Bass. You might be able to see in the attached photo that a corner of the neck heel is rounded. My neck plate has 4 vs. 5 screws, though.

That's the correct neck plate for the 2008 Fender American Deluxe Precision. Great bass.

My first digital camera was .3MP. As in 1/3 of a megapixel. It took photos that were 100X better than the first photo in this thread. I didn't know such a bad photo was possible in this day and age without intentional modifications.

I see that a lot on various “for sale” sites. By comparison, the photo in the OP is not bad, but I’ve seen some that look like they were taken in 1894! I don’t know how to even take photos as bad as some on eBay, reverb, CL, and other similar sites.
