I had a problem with the action on my ibanez being a bit too high around where the neck meets the body.
I took off the neck, cut a random trivia card from quiznos to the countour of the neck pocket, and poked holes to allow the screws to pass the card.
This small change, along with a bit of truss rod and bridge saddle tinkering, has got my bass playing better than ever!
The card is simply thick paper/maybe thin cardboard. It was probably the size of a standard playing card before i made a few cuts.
