Is this a true Peavey USA Cirrus 4?

The dot inlays have me wondering, I'm not real big into Peavey but this could possibly be a good deal.

A closeup if the front and back of the peg head would give conclusive evidence.

It has a stamped serial number and the thick top so I'd be pretty confident it is. The stacked knob means its most likely had a preamp swap.

Did Peavey ever offer a Cirrus with a dot neck? I've only ever seen them with side dots and the "c" logo at the 12th fret.

Also, it may have a Millennium preamp installed with that stacked midrange pot. That's my guess.

The US Cirrus basses could be ordered with alternative inlays, finishes, etc. This looks like such a bass - very similar to the Claro Walnut model but with different inlays and a satin rather than gloss (?) finish.

As mentioned above, the non-matching knobs suggest that the preamp isn’t stock. The dot on the 23rd fret weirds me out though.
