I have two new basses only I’m not sure what they are to the majority of onlookers. Really only care about bassists opinions...hahaha.
I’m having a lot of fun with the various voices available with the coil tapping and passive tone circuitry. On the P I’ve added switches and a Stellartone pot. The Roscoe Beck is amazingly versatile. Fun stuff
BTW, do I really care what anyone else thinks? No, just curious.

That fender blacktop P is the first (and only) bass I ever purchased new. Just like 93% of the posters here, I wish I hadn't sold it.
The guys I played with at the time all said it had a 'J' tone, so there you go.

Same here, had the double-P one for a while. Sounded massive, but mine was a bit on the heavy side.

Not sure why Fender chose the model names of the Blacktops, though....seems counter-intuitive?

Nice mods on the Blacktop. The first thing I thought of when they came out....coil taps would be sweet.

Nice RB as well, def one of Fender's finest production basses ever.
